The Cover-Ups and The Steadians release new vinyl 45s this month

A very cool slice of late 90’s Californian authentic ska magic from The Cover-Ups/All Girl Ska. The Cover-Ups were a fab all female combo who first burst onto the Los Angeles scene in 1998 & spent the next 5 years kicking up a storm on the US West Coast playing a super smooth & super catchy brand of trad ska, rocksteady & reggae. Now over 2 decades later Steady Beat are set to release 2 of the band’s super rare studio recordings from 1999, “Crush” & “Slow Motion”, on limited edition pink vinyl. -Do the ska music.

The Steadians are steadily becoming a fixture of the revered Southern California Ska scene, part of the new vanguard. They have grown into a force of their own with their originals and groovy covers. showcasing these talents on their first vinyl release. Cien Años a beloved mexican ballad made famous by Pedro Infante in the late 50’s has been given the “Tony D” treatment, transformed it into a catchy Ska beat and gave it a new sound. “Tell Me” is an original composition and speaks of heartbreak and never actually knowing of where love takes you.
